Linda Andrews (born Linda Andreasen), is born and raised in Tórshavn, the Faroe Islands, where she began singing in the local church before moving to Copenhagen at the age of 21 to pursue music as her profession. Linda started her career by providing backing vocals for numerous Danish and international artists, including Blå Øjne, Clemens, The Antonelli Orchestra, Carola, Johnny Logan, SNAP, Turbo B, and more. Additionally, she has been part of the major production of the musical Atlantis and has participated in various editions of the Melodi Grand Prix. Linda served as a jury member in DMGP 2018 and has performed for Her Majesty the Queen and the Crown Prince Couple in 2016, 2019, and 2022.
Winner and celebrity
In 2009, Linda Andrews won X Factor with Lina Rafn as her mentor. The winning song, "Det Bedste Til Sidst," debuted at #1 on the charts. The single received platinum status, selling over 35,000 downloads, making it the 9th best-selling single of the year. Following this success, Linda's career took off, and she has since participated in a variety of radio and TV programs, including Djævleræs, Til Middag Hos, Danmark Har Talent, Aftenshowet, Go' morgen Danmark, Dansk Melodi Grand Prix, and the program Diva on the Faroese national radio.
Linda Andrews is known for her powerful voice, and many consider her one of the leading soul/pop/gospel singers in the Nordic region. She has led some of the best gospel choirs in Greater Copenhagen and has been the leader, conductor, and soloist of the Farum Gospel Choir since 2015, boasting an impressive 100 active members. In addition to her musical endeavors, Linda successfully conducts workshops centered around singing and gospel.
Linda has embarked on numerous tours in Denmark, gaining recognition for her outstanding church concerts where she seamlessly blends pop, soul, and gospel into her unique and captivating musical expression. With a total of 7 solo albums and several singles under her own name, Linda Andrews is now poised for a new and exciting project named "The LAB Inc."
